Dear Friends and Readers,
As of November 22, 2005, Dreamaway Fan Fiction is four years old.
I can't even begin to tell you how weird that is to me. When I first started this site--on a whim, as I do most
things--I had no idea that it would grow to be as fun, frustrating, and time-consuming as it is today. I had one little
story called "Comforting Lie," and my one goal was to finish it.
We're still, um, working on that one. It WILL get done. Eventually.
Since I started this site, I've made a huge number of friends, received a great deal of feedback, and written countless
words about five men that I have never and probably will never meet. I've also entered into the world of higher education,
and "free time" has become a thing of the past.
I know that the updates have become fewer and far between. I know that, because the Tag Board has been taken down,
you guys no longer have an easy way to nag me about updating. I do read my email, but I'll be the first to admit that
I check my Backstreet email less and less lately.
I am not abandoning this site. Come hell or high water, I will finish the stories that are posted thus far.
Whether or not I add any new fiction remains to be seen, but I love my current characters far too much to prematurely end
their lives.
I can't tell you how much it means to me that you guys have stuck around for as long as you have. It's been one
hell of a ride, and it's only getting longer, lol. I know that us older fanfic writers are dropping like flies these
days, and I can't promise that I don't see retirement in my future, but I can promise that the stories will get finished.
Updates will continue to be sporadic, but they will keep coming. I just wanted to let you guys know. :) Don't
lose faith in me yet!
Thanks for everything you've given me so far. With any luck, I'll be able to provide you guys with quality rambling
for a little bit longer.
Take care and KTBSPA,
Cal
